Description

DETACHABLE EKU (EIKU or OAR) - IN SECTIONS

We made eku in sections so that it can be practical for transportation and travelling.

Eku is made from oak wood and connections are made from lightweight and hard aluminum, especially designed so that they don't unscrew during kata and training.Τhe metal fastening is dovetailed with pressure and pin.

While using the eku you will feel a completely smooth and unobstructed transition, making it very easy to perform kata

Wood is treated with high quality natural wax polish paste (silicon free) that nourishes, feeds and protects the wood and helps to prevent it from drying out.It doesn't not leave a film onto the wood. As a result, the wood is free for moving without cracks and pealing and it doesn't stick on the hands and has a velvet touch.

If maintenance is needed, super-fine  sandpaper (600-grit) can be used.

Dimensions: 86 x 1640 mm(handle  990 mm Φ29 mm approx.)

Detachable eku is suggested to be used only for kata with controlled force.

IMPORTANT SAFETY & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Precision Thread Alignment: This product requires precise, straight alignment during assembly. If you encounter any resistance, stop immediately. Forcing the connection will cause permanent cross-thread damage. Successful assembly relies entirely on careful, force-free user installation.

  • Pre-Assembly Lubrication: To ensure a smooth fit and prevent structural wear, a thin, uniform layer of Teflon-enhanced grease must be spread onto the threads before joining the components. Long-term thread performance is directly dependent on consistent user lubrication.

  • Impact Protection & Storage: Disassembled threaded joints are highly sensitive to physical impacts. Safe handling requires keeping all components securely inside the protective carrying case when not in use to prevent user-inflicted dents or dings.
